Being in the service industry, I completely understand how normalized alcoholism is and really related to this! I really don’t think we are missing anything not joining in!
i honestly love going out dancing and being fully sober.. it feels very freeing to acknowledge the anxiety and throw it out the window !! truly an underrated experience. 20 year old grannies unite💘
Girl, me too. I quit drinking at 22 because I had already exhausted my party days in college, and the hangovers were not mixing well with my chronic migraines. Sometimes I feel weird being the only sober person in the room, but no one ever makes me feel less because of it, which really helps my worries. But pickle lemonade? I'll have to try that someday.
You should be proud of yourself. It’s not easy being the first to stop.
I quit drinking at 24. People didn’t understand why I didn’t even want alcohol at my wedding. My husband and I are now 10 years alcohol and drug free. People still ask if I’ll drink again someday — maybe. But not today. I’ve got things to do tomorrow, and I don’t miss being hungover.

I’m so with you, Jordyn!! Here’s to growing our substacks and escaping the industry one day *cheers with chamomile*
